Crystals for Energy Alignment

My first go to reviver is Clear Quartz.  A small tumbled or rough piece placed in a glass, a jug or drinking bottle energises the water – check it out with your pendulum.  Dowse the water before and after and see the difference.  When you drink the water it energises the body cells.

Only use Clear Quartz in drinking water as some crystals are highly toxic in liquid.

The following crystals I would place against my skin; either sticky taped to it or supported by tight underclothing.

Sodalite is a great crystal to stimulate the mental body and bring order and organisation to our thoughts and words.  It is especially helpful in counteracting feelings of confusion or disorientation that can occur due to the shifting energies we are experiencing at the moment.  As our life around us changes we can experience a wide range of emotions including stress, anxiety, fear, guilt and anger. Beautiful blue Sodalite has a peaceful and relaxing quality that can calm challenging emotional states and help to relax an overactive mind by slowing down excessive mental activity.  As an extra benefit it can also alleviate insomnia.

Use Bloodstone to strengthen and support your physical body, energetic structure and attitude to the shifting energies.   Bloodstone gives a rejuvenating quality that can support you through a health crisis and speed up the healing of any physical symptoms you are experiencing.  It is especially helpful if you are feeling fatigued, exhausted, and drained.  It is a grounding stone and brings in a sense of stability at best and at worst a sense that everything is OK, even if it doesn’t feel that way!

Three other crystals that would be a mainstay for any energy alignment would be Citrine to stimulate the Immune System to fight of bugs that may wish to join the low energy party, Rose Quartz to balance the heart and mind allowing us the permission to go inward to rest and recover and Amethyst to connect to that part of us that has been neglected which knows we are loveable and deserving of life’s gifts.  Don’t we often forget that?

Crystals have been recorded throughout time as used for healing and they are still used for their qualities in laser treatment, watches, computers and mobile phones.  So you see nothing is new.

If you would like more information on crystals and how they work please feel free to contact us.

Obviously where there is concern over health, it is recommended to check it out with your GP.

The Miracle of Messages

I am always amazed at the way messages are constantly brought to us; daily even moment to moment messages are there that give us guidance, remind us that there is constant support even when we feel we are alone and messages designed to promote a train of thought or confirmation.  We will often think of someone or decide to do something and almost immediately some form of message will re-enforce our thought.   Many will put it down to coincidence but it happens constantly and once you are aware of them you will see them in their many forms.

In my very early days of exploring the full meaning behind what I had felt from a child, I would often be driving home through the country lanes in England at dusk mulling over my thoughts.  I began to notice that each time I asked myself ‘I wonder if this is right’ an owl would fly across my path.  It happened each time the thought came; different places on the journey, different times of the evening and different type of owls so I realised I was not crossing a regular flight path.  I felt very supported in my thought processes that ‘someone’ was helping me on my journey of discovery.

One day I happened to be stuck in a traffic jam in the local town.  It was midday and pouring with rain.  I was going nowhere so my mind wandered into my ‘I wonder..’ thoughts.  I had reached the point of ‘I wonder if this is right’ realising that I would be unlikely to receive my usual confirmation.  I had just thought,  ‘Well, you will have a job to send an owl now!’ when the car in front started to move forward to reveal its number plate  – OWL 749.  Goose bump moment!

It is these events that make you look more consciously for the messages and they truly are everywhere.

Recently, we were at an animal park near Port Douglas.  It was very busy, with all ages learning   about crocodiles and snakes and their lifestyles.  It was at the Snake Show that the message came to me about monitoring our beliefs.  Before we came to Australia we were made aware that this continent is home to some of the most venomous snakes and spiders in the world – a fact.  By many, we were led to believe that they lurked in every dark place intent on hunting us down and killing us – people’s belief based on a fact but fed by a fear.  If you think it through, animals are only interested in two things; food and survival.  They know what they can eat and they are on the constant look out for anything delicious that is in their environment.  When they see a creature bigger or more dangerous than themselves, they employ their instinctual good sense and move away.  They will defend themselves only when they feel threatened.   The Snake Keeper reiterated this and explained that, in fact, there have been very few deaths from snake bites since the 1980’s due to antivenom advances and education.  Strikes mainly occur when they are cornered and there is no escape.    Obvious behaviour really if you think about it: don’t we strike out when we feel we are threatened in some way – usually verbally but sometimes physically – it is a natural response.

The Keeper went on to tell us that surprisingly there were far more deaths caused in Australia yearly by interaction with another animal; not sharks, not spiders, not snakes but horses!  It reminded me that we must monitor our framework of life as our beliefs are often created by misinformation passed from person to person each with their own agenda, and, in many cases, are not based in fact but are a reflection of another’s fears.  We then take that information on board unchallenged and make decisions based on a misnomer.  Little wonder we suffer with low self-esteem, believe we are responsible for making other people’s lives happy or harmonious by suppressing our own need and all the other undermining thoughts that play out in our mind and go on to create our life.

Incidentally, another more obvious message was graphically displayed that shows we often don’t connect the dots and live our lives as a series of events that we don’t see as connected to each other.    There was a large amount of people at the same Park looking and learning about the fascinating animals and their habitats on this amazing and beautiful planet.   We were encouraged to honour the environment of these wonderful creatures and told of how we are impacting it daily.  There was much nodding in agreement and applause and then they left the area.  Behind them was a huge amount of the rubbish on the ground and on the seats they had occupied, despite the large number of rubbish bins provided!   What an interesting and complex race of beings we are!

Last year was a year of endings and the energy of new beginnings kicked in around September.   You maybe feeling the sense of wishing to change things in your life – a job, a home, a situation – and that is simply the death and rebirth cycle we all experience periodically.  The January New Moon in Aquarius was a definite starting point for setting the wheels in motion. Aquarius energy is all about starting fresh, thinking outside of the box and finding new meaning to things.

Detachment is the way to aid this process.  When we get caught up in the details or dragged into the drama it is difficult to see things clearly. Our mind becomes clouded and we cannot break free from the fear of change.  This is how it has always been so what will happen if it changes?  Will I cope?  When we can detach from all that it is easier to see the way forward; the way that is best for our own well-being.   How many people do you know, maybe even yourself, that stay in a situation that is painful, upsetting or unhealthy because they feel they have no choice?  They fear the outcome of making a stand and changing the situation.   Well, detachment gives you back the power of choice and helps you to move forward again.  With a clear mind you can see the bigger picture and view things in a new way.  Use the power and energy of this period to regain strength and resolve to see a new version of your own truth.

Crystal to help us move forward

Smoky Quartz helps you us achieving our full potential. It helps to release all the blocked, old and stagnant energy in our body. Once all of the old energy is removed, new energy is able to fill all the open space with light and hope.

Citrine  helps us to develop a positive attitude. It encourages us to go with the flow and let go of anything from the past that is creating unhappiness. It promotes the enjoyment of new things and experiences.

Carnelian is the stone of individuality, creativity and courage. It encourages an awareness of the connection between our emotional state and our state of being.  Carnelian dissolves fear, helps us to trust ourselves and our perceptions, and boosts self-confidence.

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli is one of the most sought after stones in use since man’s history began. Its deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royalty and honour, gods and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded because of its beautiful colour and the valuable ultramarine dye derived from it.  It is obtained from Egypt, which has the oldest mines in the world, worked from around 4000 B.C. and still in use today. Ancient Egyptians believed the soul existed in the mind and was housed in the brain and Lapis blue was a mental healer and soul purifier, It was used in burial ornaments of Egyptian kings and queens and used extensively in scarabs, pendants and other jewellery.  It was also ground into powder for dyes, eye shadow and medicinal elixirs.

Colour                                                                                                                                                                 The energy  of Lapis Lazuli’s dark blue colour is perfect for enhancing respect and compassion within ourselves. Dark blue crystals teach us humanity, discretion, and honour. They help us act more charitably and focus our efforts on service to others by generating within us grace, sensitivity to the needs of others  and tenderness in our approach.

Meditation with Lapis Lazuli                                                                                                                       Lapis Lazuli is a visionary stone, bringing information in images rather than words. It can be a catalyst for higher awareness and often aids recovery of memories of past lives from ancient civilisations to help regain lost knowledge and inspire evolution in the current incarnation.

Lapis Lazuli has a very strong, full on energy and is best used by adults or in the home rather than directly with young children as their frequencies are more subtle.  Stick to Rose Quartz and Blue Lace Agate

The Light Colour Healing Principle

We were out walking the dog last year when my husband decided for some strange reason that she needed to learn to jump and that he would demonstrate the idea.  There was a pole close by that was used for horse practice; a horizontal telegraph pole so not particularly high.  He took off at a run and as he leapt so the highly confused and excited dog shot through his legs and he fell.  He landed on the pole with a very loud crack and I was sure he had broken a hip at least.  A lady was walking about 100 metres away and she heard the noise and came running.  Husband lay very still, dog still thinking he was playing,  afraid to move because he was also sure he had broken at least his ribs.  When he finally got up he was sore but nothing broken.  I covered the area with Arnica ointment and the next day there was no bruise but it was too painful to touch the skin.  We used the Light colour machine for 9 minutes and the area that he could reach became completely pain free although where he could not reach was still very sore.  Because of the difference my sceptical mate could not doubt that it had worked wonderfully.  Painful way to prove a point but that is the way of the sceptic!

I have used Colour Light Therapy over the years and found it to have amazing healing abilities.  It can be used for any condition with beneficial effects.

An old tried and tested method

Light and colour has been used for healing for millennia by many different cultures.  Recorded history takes us right back to the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians where they separated the colour and used each one with light to heal different conditions. The healers discovered that light passing through coloured fabric or glass had the ability to speed up the healing process.

Those working with plant life have found that light in the form of specific colours gives vegetables, fruits and herbs their nutritional and nourishing qualities as colour is the active ingredient in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in those foods. Research with plants also indicates how coloured light affects plant health; when specific colours of plastic sheeting are placed on the soil around the plants, pests can be discouraged and plant growth and flavour are enhanced.

Native cultures also discovered that the colour of plants determined their healing qualities; for example, blood conditions were treated with red flowers and herbs.  Experiments today with red and blue light show that red will increase blood pressure while blue light reduces it.  The same applies to those colours when shone on the soles of the feet to regulate weight; it has shown that red reduces weight while blue increases it.  Hmm, I do love blue so maybe that’s the answer and it’s not the chocolate at all!

So why does it work?

The relationship between light and health begins in our eyes. When light enters the eyes, it travels through the brain directly to the body’s ‘biological clock’ located within the brain’s brain known as the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus shares the light-activated information it receives with the body’s master gland, the Pineal, which regulates our vital functions by linking the nervous and endocrine systems. Acting as the body’s light meter, the pineal gland communicates data about the time of day, time of year, spectral characteristics and the earth’s electromagnetic field to every cell of the body simultaneously. In doing so, each cell orchestrates its internal function in line with the ever-changing flow of Nature.

We each have a natural receptivity to certain frequencies of coloured light and a resistance to others.  When applied through the eyes and the skin, coloured light has been shown to positively affect the mind and body function to recalibration with the true basis of our health and wellness.  It has been shown to have a huge beneficial effect for depression and is used extensively for Seasonal Affective Disorder, SAD Syndrome where the lack of light in the winter in many countries cause another form of depression.

Light is nourishment to the body

We are made of  light and light is the language by which our cells speak to one another. The DNA within the centre of the nucleus of each cell of the body emits photons (light). When this light reaches the crystalline structure of the cell wall, it is greatly amplified. The light radiated from the cell naturally congregates with similar cells because they share the same frequency. These groups of cells form organs and the other structures in our body, each resonating with a specific frequency and colour. So our cells are crystallized light!

Light stimulates and supports the important endocrine system as well as the immune system and organs of the body. The visible spectrum, the rainbow colours, as well as infrared and ultraviolet   light are essential for the complete health of the body  but when we are outside, we are told we must wear glasses and sun screen. Sensible advice, of course, but these block some portion of the full spectrum of light which starves a part of our body.  So, it is necessary to take in sunlight through the eyes every day; not gazing at   direct sunlight just wear a hat to create shade and take off those sunglasses for just 20 minutes a day!

So how can we help our body to receive enough full spectrum light?

A simple way you can do for yourself is to replace just one bulb in a lamp in your home with a full spectrum light bulb and sit within its range of light while you are watching TV or reading.  A normal bulb which no blue, dark blue or purple shades whilst the full spectrum bulb gives the body the benefits of the whole colour range.

Another option is a Colour Light Therapy session.  I have used it to get rid of sinus, aching joints, headaches, bruises and, even when I feel ‘’under the weather’ for no particular reason, it perks me up immediately by releasing the feel-good hormone Serotonin.

We are lucky to have Andrew Barrett at The Purple Dragonfly who, by using a colour light machine that shines light through coloured filters and/or crystals, can bring your body back to good health through natural means.  Not only does the process keep your body balanced it aids with the dissipation of pain and many other symptoms.  His one hour sessions benefit your health and are deeply relaxing.  Why not give it a try!
